Woman's Day vanity w/sink and mirror ($3900)

Postby lisaray » Sat Jan 24, 2015 1:57 pm

My husband received notice that he won Woman's Day's vanity w/sink and mirror. (val $3900) He was an alternate, as the original winner turned it down. (We can't use it either - the style REALLY does not go with our house) BUT we figure we can sell it at a bargain for someone and still come out ahead, even after taxes. Anyone need to buy a vanity? (I assume this was through Ninja)

Congrats! Nice win. Even sweeter being an alternate. Too bad you can't use it. Good luck with the sale.

We still need to sell this vanity. Very nice, still in boxes on pallet. Take a look on Craigslist. http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/for/5329712393.html Asking price is reduced to $1950. That's half-price from the stated value! If you or someone you know is interested, check it out!

Hi Lisa -

Sorry to hear you have to sell it! But question - why not instead increase the price by say $100, so then you can "deliver" it? Delivery is MUCH more attractive to people - and if you include delivery in the price - you can instead say "Sink & Mirror @2,000 - FREE DELIVERY!!!". Much more likely to get a lot more interest, and actually I don't think delivery is 'that' expensive. (Might be worth looking into/contact fedex/etc, because then you can sell it easier).

Cheers!

Couple other things,

update this URL: http://www.decolav.com/5262-7.html, doesn't seem to work any more. Also maybe change your headline to "Luxury Sink & Mirror - Original $3900, Asking $2900".
(It will also give you some negotiating room to give someone else a good deal).

Johnathan --

Good ideas. I'll have to check into what it would cost to ship - I have NO idea! But CERTAINLY worth pursuing.

Also, chaning title to LUXURY sink with mirror also sounds very good. Thanks!

Current listing on craigslist is on http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/for/5329712393.html. (I just went there, and it works.)

Looks good! Just one other thign - after you figure out the shipping - put "FREE SHIPPING!" in the headline. It will help make more people notice.

Cheers!
