So how do we know if we won or not; how are we notified usually? Do u go to their website and get a list of winners?

Yes, you are usually notified in one of several ways.

1. You'll get a phone call, letting you know.
2. You'll get an e-mail -- that you need to 'confirm' receipt/send an affadavit.
3. It will just show up at your door.

For #2 -- sometimes this is all a sponsor does, so if you 'don't' reply -- they will award it to someone else. So it is a good idea to periodically check your e-mail.
