[FIXED!] - Outdated Browser?

Postby Attea2d » Sat Jun 28, 2014 9:09 am

When I try to automate these sites
http://www.purex.com/freshen-up-your-bathroom-win
http://www.purex.com/grill-more-worry-less-with-purex-plus-oxi-sweepstakes
using "Your Sweepstakes" I get the following message:

...YIKES!

You're trying to view our site using Internet Explorer 8 or below. IE 8 is no longer a supported browser for viewing our site due to security risks and bugs.

For a better browsing experience and to view our site, upgrade for free to a modern web browser (suggestions below):

When I try this one

http://www.netgearwifimonster.com/register.aspx?

I get "This site is not optimized for your current browser. Please verify that you have an updated version of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Opera. Also, please verify that Java Script is enabled.

I am using IE9 and the current version of Chrome, Windows Vista 64 bit. I have no problem entering any of these either manually in IE or Chrome or automated with an Excel Macro...that leads me to believe that problem is within the Ninja Software and not with my browser. All of these contests expire 6/30 so in themselves they are not a big deal but apparently this will continue to be a problem with some sites when used within the Ninja software Please address

hmm...

it seems more & more sites are now implementing 'javascript popups'. (The 'version' of your browser is fine -- its just javascript popups are disabled by default).
I'll see what I can do about doing a workaround... it may be a little bit before I can though...

Thanks!

Okay, I believe this is fixed.

Some computers had a REALLY obscure bug (microsoft's issue), however have put a patch out that should solve that.

Thanks!

do *all* of the links not work for you?

I might be able to suggest a 'patch' for you that would work (but you'd have to use something called 'regedit'... do you know what that is?)
