Entry fails but gets an OK

Postby alligatorgar » Sun Jun 12, 2011 9:23 pm

There are many sweepstakes on my list that are set for fast submission and that works. The problem is there is an error. Most often the state field is skipped and the submission does not work yet the software flags the entry as done ok.

This is just one example.

Hi,

thanks -- i will probably have to change the terminology. In the 'your submissions' area -- if it says 'success', it means the form was filled out according to specifications (i.e., what it guessed, and any changes you made, if any), plus the 'submit' button was clicked. It doesn't 'necessarily' mean that it was 'accurate' information, just that it was filled out and the click button pressed. I'll think about some new terminology to explain the difference in that section...

telling us the entry was unsuccessful will be very nice. How hard is it to get the one field in most cases, the state, correct?

Programatically very difficult actually. However, I'll look into it.
